That is a good question, and one that I have heard many times.
No, I do not believe that Science is the Enemy of Christianity.
I can best explain my thoughts on Science vs. Christianity as: “Science tells us how things work, Christianity tells us why they work.”. I think that where this concept can become a problem for some is whether they believe everything in the Bible is pure fact – no allegory, no parables. For Christians like myself who have the view that the Bible consists of historical fact, allegorical writings and parables, the concept of Science as the enemy of Christianity fades into insignificance.
